Abstract: Objective To study the advantage and disadvantage of ECLIA and ELISA for bulk HBV-M specimens detection and to understand the distribution of people with HBV. Method ELISA method was used to detect bulk HBV-M specimens automatically by using bar code technology and network system. Meanwhile, ECLIA method was used to review and validate the positive results which were detected by ELISA Method and the results were statistical analyzed. Results Twelve kinds of Hepatitis B five models were seen in 68238 health people examination, where HBsAg positive was 3.07% and HBsAb positive comes up to 56.09%. Taking ECLIA method as a standard, there was a false positive for HBsAg and false negative for HBsAb, HBeAb and HBcAb by ELISA method. There was no comparison meaningful between the results of two methods. Conclusion ELISA method is more powerful, and the result is more stable with lower sensitivity by using ELISA-STAR system. It is more suitable to detect for bulk specimens detection. ECLIA method is more intelligent with higher sensitivity, and it can be treated as a gold standard and testify the low concentration samples. The two methods can help each other in order to guarantee the quality of detection. It deserves to be promoted in the detection of bulk specimens.
