Abstract

Abstract:Objective To explore the potential effect of false KRAS gene on KRAS mutations detection. Methods Five confirmed sequence of colorectal cancer tumor tissues were tested and in the sequence alignment of KRASP1 with KRAS homology were compared and analyzed. Results KRASP1 had high homology with KRAS. In the detection of KRAS mutations experiments, the existence of KRASP1 had a certain adverse effect on class amplification reaction. The influence degree was related with type of test method and experiment design. Conclusion KRASP1 might have a potential impact on the detection of KRAS mutations, and how to avoid the homologous interference may depend on the molecular diagnosis method of experimental design.
