Abstract

Abstract:Objective To explore the changes of thyroid hormone index level of TSH, FT3, TT3, FT4 and TT4 and their relations in moderate chronic hepatitis B patients. Methods The serum levels of TSH, FT3, TT3, FT4 and TT4 in 34 cases of moderate chronic hepatitis B patients, 30 cases of mild chronic hepatitis B patients and 30 normal controls were detected and the results were analyzed. Results There was significantly difference on thyroid hormone index among three groups (P < 0.05). The serum levels of FT3 and FT4 had statistically difference between any two groups (P< 0.05).(3)The serum TSH levels in chronic hepatitis B patients was negatively correlated with FT3 (r = 0.370, P = 0.031), and positively correlated with TT4 (r = 4.735, P = 0.000). The FT3 and TT3 showed linear positive correlation (r = 0.613, P = 0.000), and FT4 and TT4 showed linear positive correlation (r = 0.499, P = 0.003). Conclusion The thyroid hormone indexes could have very important clinical significance in the evaluation of chronic hepatitis B patients with moderate liver function damage.
