Abstract

Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between CA199 and glucose and lipid metabolic indicators in patents with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2MD). Methods 243 hospitalized patients with T2MD were collected from June 2012 to December 2013. At the same time, 80 healthy individuals were chosen as control. The serum CA199 and metabolic indicators were detected respectively. Results The levels of CA199 in T2MD patients were significantly higher than those of healthy subjects (P<0.05), and the positive rate of CA199 in blood glucose uncontrolled group was significantly higher than those of controlled group(P<0.05). The serum CA199 level in T2MD was significantly positive correlated with HbA1c(r=0.463,P=0.000)and FPG (r=0.204,P=0.030). There was no correlation found between CA199 and lipid metabolic indicators. Conclusion The Serum CA199 in T2MD patients is closely related to blood glucose level, and the association with lipid spectrum was not found.
