Abstract

Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical value of serum Non-HDL-C level in acute cerebral infraction (ACI) patients. Methods The serum levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and apolipoprotein B (apoB) in 96 cases of ACI patients and 98 health controls were detected and non-HDL-C level was calculated. Results Compared with health controls, ACI group had significantly higher level in serum non-HDL-C, apoB, TC, TG, LDL-C and lower HDL-C levels (p<0.05). The serum Non-HDL-C level was positively correlated with apoB, TC, TG and LDL-C, and negatively correlated with HDL-C. Conclusion The serum non-HDL-C levels is associated with ACI and might be as high risks index in the evaluation of ACI.

Key words: ACI; Non-HDL-C; TC; HDL-C; ApoB
