Abstract

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the value of combined FICE and detection of PepsinogenⅠand PepsinogenⅡ in diagnosis of gastric carcinoma (GC) and chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG). Methods 160 cases of GC patients and 200 cases of CAG patients treated in our hospital were randomly chosen. The levels of PG, PGⅡand PGR were measured with ELASA in these 360 patients and 100 healthy controls. The 360 patients were randomized into two groups, normal endoscope group and FICE group. Patients in normal endoscope group just were inspected with normal endoscope; While Patients in FICE group were performed with FICE gastric endoscope. Results The Gland PGR level in GC patients and CAG patients were significantly lower than those of the healthy people (P<0.01), there was no significant difference in PGⅡlevel between the patients and healthy people. The abnormal rate of PG in GC patients and CAG patients were significantly higher than that of the healthy people (P<0.01). The positive rate detected in FICE group was significantly higher than that of normal endoscope group (P<0.01).Conclusion The positive detection rate of FICE endoscope is higher than that of white light endoscope. The combined FICE and detection of PepsinogenⅠand PepsinogenⅡ could be very helpful for further improving the positive detection rate of GC and CAG, and used for the early screening and prevention of gastric disease.
