Abstract

Abstract: Viral load and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels have been the key points for making a decision in the treatment of anti-HBe positive chronic hepatitis B for a long time, and ignoring the role of anti-HBe itself in the progress of the disease. Nowadays knowledge of the function of anti-HBe in HBV infection is increasing, along with the in-depth studies of anti-HBe. This study is to summarize the changes of HBV-DNA viral load after seroconversion and the correlation between anti-HBe and the histological evaluation of liver.

Key words: Anti-HBe; HBV; HBeAg; Seroconversion
