Abstract

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical value of combined detection of α-fetoprotein (AFP), Golgi protein 73 (GP73) and α-L-fucosidase (AFU) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). Methods The subjects were divided into three groups, HCC group, cirrhosis group and healthy control group.Sera of all cases were examined for AFP,GP73 and AFU. The statistical analysis was made based on these results. Results The level of serum AFP,GP73 and AFU in the group of HCC were significantly higher than those of the other groups. Sensitivity of AFP,GP73 and AFU in HCC group were 52%, 74% and 55%; and the specificity of AFP, GP73 and AFU in HCC group were 93%,95% and 88%.The sensitivity and specificity of combined detection of three serological markers were 93% and 86%. Conclusion The combined detection of AFP, GP73 and AFU could improve the diagnostic sensitivity and may have an important early diagnostic value of HCC.
