Objective To explore the clinical significance of detection of mould, trichomonad and BV in women's vaginal secretions in basic level hospitals. Methods Mould, trichomonad and BV in vaginal secretions were detected for 1342 cases of women in our hospital from January to June, 2014. The positive rates of mould, trichomonad and BV detection were analyzed for different degree levels of vaginal cleanliness (I, II, III and IV) and different age groups (20-29, 30-39, 40-49, ≥50). Results In 534 cases of cleanliness IV patients, 352 cases were trichomonad positive, the positive rate was 26.23%, 378 cases were mould positive, the positive rate was 28.17%, 403 patients were BV positive, the positive rate was 30.03%, 284 patients were positive of mould, trichomonad and BV, the positive rate was 21.16%. There were statistical significance among different degree levels of vaginal cleanliness for the positive rate of mould, trichomonad, and BV (P < 0.05). Also there were statistical significance among different age groups(20-29, 30-39, 40-49, ≥50) for the positive rate of mould, trichomonad, and BV (P < 0.05). Conclusion It is important to strengthen women's health knowledge propaganda, improve self health habits and reduce the incidence of vaginitis.
