Abstract

Objective To explore the prevalence and characteristics of hepatitis B in different people in Qinhuangdao to provide scientific guidance on virus prevention and vaccination. Methods The total 10499 cases of preschool children, pregnant women and civil servants in health examination of Qinhuangdao in 2014 were involved in this study. The five indexes of hepatitis B were quantitatively determined by using time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay (TRFIA). Results There were 255 cases of positive hepatitis B in this study, hepatitis B surface antibody contents in different groups of people and different ages were statistically significant (P<0.05), the highest positive rates were at the age of 20~35 years old, and the lowest were among the age of 50 or older, but immune responses in each group were not high. Conclusion The results suggest to take advantage of hospital information platform to strengthen preventive knowledge of hepatitis B and enhance vaccination effectiveness, to provide scientific guidance in preventing hepatitis B for different groups of people in the region.
