Abstract: Deletions on chromosome 3p often occur in some solid tumors and can be located in multiple tumor suppressor genes including RBMS3 gene. RBMS3 widely expressed in embryonic and adult organism. It is involved in the formation of cartilage and promoting fibrosis of the liver. The recent studies showed that RBMS3 was a tumor suppressor gene and has caused widespread attention. The recent research progress of RBMS3 gene function will be reviewed.
