Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of detection of immunoglobulin in patients with hepatitis B. Methods 128 cases of hepatitis B patients were divided into acute hepatitis group, chronic hepatitis group and chronic severe hepatitis group. The serum immunoglobulin (IgG, IgA, and IgM) levels in morning fasting venous blood were determined in these patients and 40 healthy controls. Results The serum levels of IgG, IgM and IgA in patients with hepatitis B were significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The increasing of immunoglobulin may be suggestive of liver cell damage in patients with stage. It could also assist in the identification the degree of liver injury in patients with hepatitis B.
