Abstract

0bjective To explore the clinical significance of serum α1 acid glycoprotein(α1-AG) levels in patients with acute bacterial infective disease. Methods The serum levels of α1-AG in 185 patients with acute infection and 75 healthy volunteers were measured by turbidimetric immunoassay. Result The serum levels of α1-AG in patients with acute infection disease were significantly higher than those in healthy volunteers (P<0.05). Conclusion The detection of serum α1-AG levels might be helpful for the diagnosis of acute batreial infective disease.
