Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of radionuclide functional imaging and MRI morphological imaging on choroidal melanoma. Methods A retrospective analysis of 28 patients (11 men, 17 women; mean age ± SD, 44.3±13.8 y) with choroidal melanoma diagnosed by the comprehensive imaging diagnosis, including ocular ultrasound and (or) by color Doppler flow imaging, CT, fluorescein angiography were carried out. All patients underwent radionuclide functional imaging and MRI morphological imaging. Results Radionuclide functional imaging showed that there was significant difference between the ratio of Tmax/Oavg and Nmax/Oavg (t=4.134, P<0.01), there was also significant difference between Tavg/Oavg and Navg/Oavg (t=4.620, P<0.01). There were 78.57% (22/28) in patients with high expression of integrin αvβ3 which MRI diagnosed in 20 patients. Conclusion Combined application of radionuclide functional imaging and MRI morphological imaging might be prefer methods of diagnosis in this group of patients with choroidal melanoma.
