Abstract

Objective To explore the changes of serum levels of LPO, SOD and IGF-Ⅰin patients with chronic hepatitis C. Methods The serum levels of LPO, SOD and IGF-Ⅰin 66 cases of patients with chronic hepatitis C and 72 healthy controls were detected by RIA. Results The serum levels of LPO and IGF-Ⅰin chronic hepatitis C patients were significantly higher than that of normal controls (P < 0.01), while the serum SOD levels were significantly lower than normal controls (P < 0.01). The serum LPO, SOD and IGF-levels in patients after 2 months comprehensive treatment had no significant difference compared with normal group (P > 0.05). Conclusion The detection of changes of serum LPO, SOD and IGF-I levels has clinical value in the study of the mechanism, occurrence and development of chronic hepatitis C.
