Abstract

Objective To investigate the genotypes and antifungal susceptibility of candida albicans from patients with candidosis. Methods Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was adopted to analyze78 Candida albicans which were isolated from patients with candidosis. Kirby-Bauer (K-B) paper dispersion method was carried out for antifungal susceptibility test. SPSS16.0 software package was used for data analyzing. Results 78 strains of Candida albicans were divided into three types, genotype A were 57.7%,genotype B were 26.9%, genotype C were 15.4% respectively. The susceptibility rate of Candida albicans to fluconazol was 89.7%,while the susceptibility rate to voriconazole was 98.7%. The susceptibility rate to voriconazole was higher than to fluconazol (P<0.05). Conclusion The genotype of Candida albicans from patients with candidosis is multiple. The susceptibility rate of Candida albicans to antifungal drugs is different according to their different genotypes. Genotyping is important to candidosis diagnosis and rational use of antifungal drugs.
