Abstract

Abstract:Objective To study the influence of the serum E-selection concentration on CAC. Methods 128 Han Chinese patients diagnosed as CAC by coronary angiography examination were selected as the research objects of this study, and were divided into two groups. The two groups included mild calcification group(MCG) and moderately severe calcification group (MSCG). 68 Han nationality persons were selected as coronary artery completely normal control group (CCNCG). Blood specimen was collected and DNA was extracted. Results The serum E-selection level of the patients in MSCG was significantly higher than that in CCNCG. And there was statistically significant difference in these two groups (P < 0.01). The serum E-selection level of the patients in MCG was significantly lower than that in MSCG. And there was statistically significant difference in these two groups (P < 0.01). Conclusion The serum E-selection levels were positively correlated with the incidence and development of CAC. There is genetic variation of S128R in Chinese Han population.
