Abstract

Objective To evaluate the application value of CLIA for detection of syphilis specific antibody. Methods 12503 serum samples were detected by CLIA. The detection results of CLIA were compared with detection with ELISA or TPPA and RPR. Results In 12503 serum samples, 308 of them were positive detected with CLIA, while 311 samples were positive detected with ELISA. There was an agreement of 99.93% between CLIA and ELISA. Compared with TPPA method, the positive coincidence rate was 98.7%. Conclusion CLIA is easy to perform and may be suitable for large-scale screening of syphilis specific antibody
